My Emmy style winners

The recent Emmys made me happy because some of my favorites won. That would be Aaron Paul for Breaking Bad and Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen of Modern Family. I was kinda expecting Aaron to shout, "Yeaaah, bitch!" when he won. Teehee. Guys, if you aren't watching Breaking Bad, do so now. It's seriously addicting.

Now on to the red carpet!

There were a lot of gorgeous dresses and actresses at the Emmys but I think either they looked too safe or their strapless gowns were falling off their boobs. These were my favorites:

Tina Fey in Vivienne Westwood. Oh, what I'd give to look anything like that when I'm in my 40s! The styling—from hairstyle and makeup to the minimal jewelry and clutch—is perfection!

Ginnifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier and Christian Louboutin shoes. This is actually a very difficult dress to wear. A less confident woman would not have pulled it off so great job, Ginnifer!

Julianne Moore in Dior Couture. I actually had to think twice about this look. I think the too covered up top makes her look busty and with big arms. But I love the movement of her skirt. And I love how her hair flows about her gorgeous face. So I decided I love this look!

Julie Bowen in Monique Lhuillier. A lot of women that night wore strapless gowns and similar shapes so what makes this gown so unique is the color. It's chartreuse. This is supposed to be a little bit green. The annoying thing about chartreuse is it's a vivid bright that looks amazing in real life but it never translates well in pictures!

Juliana Margulies in Giambattista Valli. What a gown! And it has pockets! I'm a huge fan of dresses with pockets! She looks amazing in it. Her sleek hairstyle and minimal accessories really put the focus on that fabulous floral print. Only thing I don't like about this look? Her makeup artist should've evened out the skin tone of her chest.

Nicole Kidman in Antonio Berardi. Ahh, Nicole. You can do no wrong in my book. Ever since you appeared on Tom Cruise's arm in that chartreuse (yes, chartreuse again!) Dior gown, you have been my style goddess. Again, the styling here is perfection. Her casually straightened hair, the simple drops of earrings, the white column gown emblazoned with sequins that match her eyes. Oh, Nicole!

Winning look of the night! Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen. The lilac-tinged hair matching her purple gown? Perfect. I love how lean she looks. The strong makeup looks fantastic. The dark nails, even the tattoos look like they're accessories to her gown. This is my favorite look.

January Jones in Zac Posen. Like Cate Blanchett and Diane Kreuger, January's known to love taking risks on the red carpet and she always looks fantastic! And remember, she's a new mommy!

And I know everyone's talking about Heidi Klum's double slit, down-to-the-navel dress. It's beautiful. She's gorgeous. But to me, honestly? It's just screaming "I just got divorced, y'all!"

What were your favorite looks from the Emmys? Did your favorite TV show win?

  1. I can imagine Jesse Pinkman screaming "Yeeeahhhh, bitch!", with a proud Walter white grinning from behind. Breaking Bad is seriously addicting!

  2. Kelly Osbourne looks fantastic! I looove purple/lilac/mauve hair on her! She also seems to be a lovely person now (unlike her teenage self). Also, January Jones as Betty Draper is my forever girl crush. I love how messed up her character is! haha
