What to do this payday weekend

Well, the answer to that's pretty obvious, right? Go shop!

But here are better ideas--why not shop and save and learn and have fun with your girlfriends? Sounds like a better shopping experience to me! Here are two exciting events you and your girls can get all dolled up for and attend:

Catalogue 63's Style & Wellness Weekend at The Grove
Where: The Grove Community Center, along C5 in Pasig (across Tiendesitas)
When: October 15 and 16, 10am - 7pm

Catalogue 63 is an online fashion shopping site and they partnered with The Grove, Beyond Yoga, Crossfit Manila and Urban Ashram to bring you fashion and fitness all under one roof (and there better be a roof because it looks like a stormy weekend!).

Catalogue 63 will launch Grubbies and also highlight their other brands, like Bonne, Lulu, Pazzy Navarro, Vestito and m&m by Matthew & Melka. Make sure you bring your workout wear because there will also be free yoga classes because, really, the best way to show off your sartorial pieces is with a fit body.

Admission is free. For more info, click here!

Belle de Jour Fair at Eastwood
Where: Eastwood Open Park, Libis, QC
When: October 16, Sunday, 2pm - 10pm

The Belle de Jour Power Planner 2012 will be launched with a big bang! Guest speakers will be Alyanna Martinez, Divine Lee, Carelle Mangaliag of Trainstation and Sole Sisters. They'll all be talking about shopping and style while traveling around the world. Travel? Yes! That's BDJ's 2012 theme. Methinks they should also give away a free trip to somewhere abroad!

Instead, they'll entertain you with a fashion show, live performances, fun activities and makeovers, yummy food, and fabulous swag from their super numerous partners! But you only get the fab swag if you register now at BDJFAIR@belledejourpowerplanner.com

Admission is P50 but all of that money will go to BDJ's scholars, the students of Scuolla dela Guioia in Tondo and the SKR Program in Romblon.

Sounds like a great weekend! Enjoy!

Will I be there? No. I'm under strict orders to stay in bed. I wish the orders had come from the husband (naughty! naughty!) but, alas, they came from my doctors. I'll tell you what's happening with me in my next post!

To the students who read this blog, do check out this school diary

I know from the regular commenters and from my blog's fabulous Facebook page that my readers are mostly women in their mid-20s to mid-30s but in case you're younger than the demographics and are still in school or you have sisters and nieces still in school, you just might think this journal is uber cute and useful:
The Campus Journal from Belle de Jour for SY 2010-2011

You can paste your pretty picture in the box

List down your goals for the school year

Fill those charts up with straight As!

So you never forget the birthdays of your friends/classmates/teachers

This is so you know when to practice safe sex!

Because even though you feel young and invincible, you oughta prioritize your health!

So that when vacations finally come, you'll be ready for them!

Meanwhile, get busy with schoolwork and extra-curricular stuff

And let your days be filled with studying, friendships and fun

Of course, every BDJ journal comes with discount coupons--from shoes and dresses to spa services and the best acne treatments!

Which can really help you save money while look great at the same time!

The Campus Journal is filled with pages upon pages of neat stuff that can help you sort through the busy life of a student! Make sure you grab one (or two or three for your barkada!). Order online by sending your name, delivery address, email address, mobile number and number of planners you want to sales@belledejourpowerplanner.com. Or you can just check out the bookstores! I think it's P348 in bookstores but online, it's P320.

This is not a press release, by the way! It's just a big thank you to my BDJ friends Darlyn, Kat and Em, who send me my yearly BDJ planner and now my Dr. Mom journal, too.
